Spindle receipt and visual inspection

Visual inspection of the shipping container prior the removal of the spindle. The spindle is first checked visually.

Disassembly, measurement and analysis

Determination if a test run is required or possible. If test run is not possible disassembly of the spindle for further evaluation. All components are measured and inspected if repair or replacement is required.

Failure report and quotation

Our customers receive a cost estimate with detailed information about the damage, the cause of failure and estimated delivery.

Customer approval / PO

After receipt and approval of your purchase order we start with the actual repair process.

Chrome plating In-house grinding

For refurbishing components to meet our accurate and reliable OEM quality standards. All spindle component grinding operations are completed in our facility to ensure high quality and quick turnaround time.

Ultrasonic Cleaning

The components are cleaned, reworked according to original specifications or replaced by original GMN spare parts.

Balance rotating parts within G1.0 tolerance

Balancing grade within G 1.0 to determine the required balancing tolerance in order to achieve the best operation of the spindle in service.

Assembly

Once the spindle meets the our high requirements for quality, expertise and reliability, our experts assemble the spindle and make it ready for other tests.

Finish grind tool interface

Finishing process to smooth and flat the surface of your spindle so that we can guarantee your spindle is returned in „Like-New“ condition.

Test run Trim balance Vibration analysis

Functional checks on our test stand. Accurate evaluation to meet the same quality requirements as a new spindle with extensive testing and vibration and critical speed analysis.

Final Inspection Radial Runout 0.002mm Axial Runout 0.001 mm

Final inspection and testing for two types of spindle runout to reduce the risk of inaccurate machine registration, issues with tolerance control and insufficient tool life.

Shipping and Documentation

Once the spindle meet the same quality requirements as a new spindle the measured values determined are entered in a test certificate and submitted to you with the repaired spindle.
